Dear Redwood Shores Neighbors and Redwood City,
The need for experience is critical these days. As a three-term councilmember, two-term mayor, and proven business leader, I bring fiscal responsibility and practical solutions to meet the needs of Redwood Shores and Redwood City.
I have served Redwood Shores on the City of Redwood City’s Architectural Review Committee and Planning Commission. I was president of Redwood Shores Community Association and I am currently the president of my homeowner’s association.
Redwood Shores has unique issues: sea level rise concerns with our levees and lagoon, San Carlos Airport noise, geese, and lack of equitable city services – especially for seniors.
As a Director on the Joint Powers Board, electrified Caltrain happened in September. As the Vice Chair of SamTrans, we have restored bus ridership to pre-pandemic levels. And as a champion for the replacement of the 101/84 interchange, full funding is close and once completed the interchange will reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and provide bike and pedestrian access to the Port and Bayfront.
My experience working across the region allows me to work on behalf of Redwood Shores and Redwood City, especially on issues such as public safety, fiscal responsibility, climate change, flooding and transportation.
I ask for your support in making sure that Redwood Shores is represented at City Hall as your Councilmember from District 1. Experience matters and having my experience at City Hall will ensure a strong City Council to navigate the challenges ahead.
Thank you for your consideration and support, and don’t hesitate to contact me at (650) 483-7412.
Jeff
